What is the difference between a SKU and a barcode?+

A SKU (stock keeping unit) is an internal code that identifies a product. A barcode is the scannable pattern that can represent that code. InventoryOS generates internal item codes such as ITEM-42 and can print barcode labels that scan back to those codes. Barcode label print jobs are included from Starter.

How do shipping labels arrive in Dispatch Centre?+

Starter supports label uploads and cropping. Pro and Business also provide a unique workspace email address: forward supported shipping-label emails to it, then review the imported labels in Dispatch Centre. No Gmail mailbox connection is required.

What is included in the £1.99 reorder email add-on?+

Pro and Business can add reorder email reminders for £1.99/month. Choose instant alerts or a scheduled daily summary. This is separate from the underlying reorder tools.

Can I use it on my phone?+

Yes. InventoryOS works in modern mobile and desktop browsers. The Retail dashboard and Till can also be installed as PWAs. Scanner, printer and cash-drawer compatibility depends on your hardware.

Do I need a printer to get started?+

No. The inventory tools work without a printer. Optional direct printing uses QZ Tray, your printer’s normal driver and the InventoryOS printing setup. Mobile printing uses your device’s supported print or share options.

Can I try Business first?+

Yes. Create an account, then email hello@inventoryos.co.uk to request one free week of Business. We activate it manually. The app shows when it ends and which plan you return to; a trial does not automatically start a paid subscription.

Is InventoryOS connected to a marketplace?+

InventoryOS is independent software. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vinted, eBay, Meta or Amazon. You remain in control of your marketplace accounts and listings.
